The holiday season and new year is upon us and the never ending holiday parties are in full swing! While I love attending these parties and just having a blast with my family and friends, I think it's still good to have a few of my style essentials to touch up through out the night! I don't mean you have to lug around your entire vanity, but a few essentials that are clutch/purse friendly to keep with you, so you look flawless all night long!
I always keep a travel sized perfume. The roller ball types are the best for a quick way of freshen up during the night. I also love using fragerence samples I get with online orders. Who doesn't want to smell good? So keep that with you, and your friends and family will thank you!
I always have breath mints with me, holiday party or not. It's something that you will always find with me. I tend to go old school with Altoids, they always work with freshening your breath and it lasts quite some time. ( no, Altoids did not sponsor me, I am just a true believer!) Trader Joe's carries the mini Altoids in the check out isles, and I find that the mini ones are perfect for smaller clutches for holiday parties and dinners! You can always keep some gum or any other mints you prefer.
My next essential is very important for all my high heeled girls, or if you chose to wear a new pair of shoes to your party! The long hours in heels or shoes that you haven't broken into will eventually start biting your feet, and leave horrendous blisters. This year I have found the saviour for all my worries when ever the music goes on! I love to dance it out with my family and friends, and if at all it is an indian party, I am always on the dance floor! I also was super adventurous this season and decided to indulge in all the winter activities such as ice skating! While we all had a blast, I did end up with horrible blisters on my feet, the skates were not comfortable at all! But long story short, I was able to find these patches that gave me so much comfort the rest of the the days, I was not in pain at all! These adorable sole patches are so soft and cushion like, that my feet could dance the nights away with no pain whatsoever! Theyre tan colored, so they don't stick out too much, and can be placed in whatever positon you find comoft in! These were such a life saver this year!
With all the food and drinks throughout the night, your lip color might fade away, so I always keep a lippy. If you used a liquid lipstick, you should be good for the night, so you could get away with keeping just a lip gloss to reboost your color or with nothing at all. For all you ladies out there who used a traditional cream based lipstick, keeping the same will let you touch up if you want or need to throughout the night.
Something that I do often if I am wearing a rosy colored lip, I will just dab a little color onto my cheeks using just my fingers. This technique helps you to double up your lipstick as a blush as well! If you went with a dark plum or red lip, I suggest you keep a mini blush with you. A bright red cheek reminds me of carnival clown haha! But if that's your thing, you do you!
And last but not least, I always keep the super essentials such as my phone, keys, cash or credit cards and of course my ID. I think these are your absolute staples to carry with you! You can always keep a few hair ties and clips for any hair do emergencies too!
I hope you guys got some ideas that will help you guys this holiday season! If you all have other things you keep with you, share it in the comments below!
Happy new year everyone!
