Recently, my skin has been glowing! It’s radiating a warm rosy glow, which is always a welcome change, especially with summer fast-approaching. Had the glow-gods descended on planet earth to kiss this mere mortal’s face? As much as I would love to believe in a fairy-godmother for my skin, it dawned on me, it was my diligent use of Good Genes for the past four weeks!
I purchased Good Genes during the Sephora VIB sale (hello haul) and was hesitant to try it because of the lactic acid in it. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how well my skin reacted to this product. It did sting the first few times of use, however, as my skin got used to it, the stinging sensation gradually stopped.
I typically use it at night before going to bed. You can certainly use it during the day as well, however, be sure to use sunscreen if stepping out after applying Good Genes. Lactic acid exfoliates the skin which is great for radiance and skin clarity, but, not so much when you’re stepping out in the sun SPF free. I highly recommend the Drunk Elephant sunscreen from Sephora (blog post on that to follow!). I have been using Good Genes for a month and have seen a marked improvement in my skin clarity, radiance and texture. The price point is high and this is definitely a splurge product. I would say worth every penny though! Cannot recommend enough!
