Happy winter everyone! For all you out there living in the east coast, you've probably experienced quite a bit of snow by now, and we all know there is more to come! So I wanted to share with you guys some of my cozy night in essentials! A few things that just make the snow blizzards a little more bearable and fun! Also these essentials happen to lie just in time for Valentine's Day as well! If you are spending valentine's day at home these little essentials are perfect for you!
1. SNUGGLE UP
Since I'm going to be home, I always like to snuggle up into something warm. I love wearing soft fleece onsies or fleece pajama sets on cold winter nights! And I never forget my soft fuzzy socks! I find nothing more miserable than cold feet! If you are living in a hotter climate, you can always opt out of wearing fleece and switch to cotton pajama's with a soft robe and cute, comfy home slippers!
2. CANDLES AND ROOM SCENTS
Candles are a great way to warm up rooms and freshen up the area by calming scents! I have been loving the candles lately! While I love me some Bath and Body Works candles, I think it's fun to switch it up sometimes! Room sprays or an oil diffuser is another great way to instantly freshen up your rooms and your mood!
It is so important to stay moisturized even though you are sitting at home. I find that sometimes the heat in the house can be pretty drying to my skin, so I always make it a point to lather up some body butter! Cozy nights are perfect for pampering yourself too! Bath and Body Works was having a pretty good sale last week, so I stocked up on some body butters to get me through the winter! Moonlight Path is my all time favorite scent from them! I think Vaseline is a great option instead of body butters too! I always use Vaseline for moisturizing my feet and elbows! I have been using the Josie Maran Oil to moisturize my face and I am obsessed! It is so relaxing and calming, and it doesn't leave my skin all greasy and oily! Definitely a winter favorite!
4. WARM TREATS
Hot chocolate has recently become my go-to winter drink option. It's a good alternative from herbal teas and more soothing than drinking wintery coffee based drinks! I have been loving a cup of Swiss Miss's hot chocolate with marshmallows, really brings back old school memories!
This is the time to catch up on all the shows I have missed from the week and the new show premiers! And in the event you are all caught up, Netflix and Hulu should keep you pretty occupied. There are so many shows and movies, I'm sure you can find something you haven't gotten around to yet. I think even catching up on some reading is pretty therapeutic, instead of binge watching! So you all can snuggle up in a comfy blanket and relax the night or weekend away!
There you have it! I hope you all got some fun ideas from this post! Stay safe and warm everyone!
