I have been so curious about the whole concept of exfoliating ever since I realized how much good it can do to your skin, especially in the winter months. I have always been regular with exfoliating using scrubs, but recently I indulged into the using a dry body brush to help exfoliate my body. I have to say that I am so impressed with the results and have realized it's actually good for your body, both internally and externally.
I decided to go with a non cruelty company when selecting my brush. Ecotools is a well known company for the same, and I have used a few of their makeup brushes before, so I knew I was getting quality. I bought my brush at Ulta, and it was pretty inexpensive. The brush itself is pretty sturdy, which is something you want in a body brush. It's got a wooden base, and a cloth strap handle, that you can wear to secure the brush while brushing. The bristles, I feel, are strudy enough to exfoliate, but not too harsh to hurt your skin.
I usually exfoliate once a week, before I head into the shower. I go from bottom to the top, and usually stroke up towards my heart. I will say, it's not the easiest on your skin the first time you do this. But it does get better over time. I can instantly feel a rush or blood throughout my skin, and it feel like my skin is getting rejuvenated from within. It's absolutely the best feeling ever!
