If you have been following my blog for a while now, you know I am very particular about my skincare regime. I have always said that the base aka my skin, needs to be kept well, before I apply my makeup. Also, I truly believe that any makeup can look good on well kept skin. So a lot of times you don't need to splurge on the best foundation, as long as your skin is looking healthy and happy, it will show through any makeup! So to continue on my life long hunt on finding good moisturizers, I stumbled upon the e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer. This one doesn't have SPF, which is precisely why I started using it. I am quite happy with my Aveeno Daily Moisturizer with SPF for the daytime. But I have been on a hunt for a night time creme. This product is so moisturizing that it almost just feels like I am applying straight up water! And what else could be more hydrating than that? With ingredients like purified water, vitamin e, aloe and cucumber, as well as shea butter, grape and orange, it is the perfect amount of cleanliness I don't mind putting on my skin. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it is very closely comparable to the Origin's Intensive Night Mask.
Another e.l.f product that has blown me away is the e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator in Mint Maniac. It is a tiffany blue sugar scrub that is in a lipstick form. I cannot tell you how much I love this product! It is first of all so hygienic since I am not dipping my fingers into a jar. It is infused with shea butter, avocados, vitamin e, grapes and jojoba oil. It's perfect to apply it right before bed, and I always wake up with soft, soothed lips the next morning!
I love me a good mascara that does the job of making look awake and alert! The Studio Gear Impactful Pro TLS Mascara does just that! I had never used this brand before, so I was a little hesitant, but it does a great job of thickening and making my lashes look full! I also tried out the Invincible Gel Liner with the Invisible Multi-Tasker brush and was so surprised how easily the gel eye liner glided on my eyelid! It is waterproof so no chances of smudging which all I really need!
I dabbled a bit into skincare this month so the next two faves are also skincare related. The Aveeno Stress Relief body wash was new to me. I obviously know of Aveeno, but have only tried the Positively Radiant Facial Moisturizer in the past. I was very pleased to learn that the body washes are equally, if not better. This particular one holds a special place in my heart since it is infused with lavender, chamomile and ylang-ylang. I am a night time shower-er, so this is the best thing to wash the day away with! It lathers up great and is creamy enough on my skin.
My last fav is a luxury product, but it's worth every penny! The L'Occitane Divine Youth Oil is the most moisturizing oil based product I have used that hasn't left a greasy residue. It claims to keep your skin supple and moisturized, and it does exactly that through the night for me. This is a constant staple for my night stand, since it is glass, I don't normally travel with this product. It has a faint scent of honey which is so soothing for anytime of the year!
