Now that autumn is finally here, it is time to switch up my make up to more neutrals shades. I really enjoy playing with different shades of brown and taupe to create makeup looks with dimension and warmth. I have picked up a few makeup products that are becoming essentials for my makeup kit this fall.
I have never been someone who really dabbles into eyeshadow, but recently I have been loving the e.l.f. eyeshadow palette in Need It Nude. It's got a mix of matte and shimmer shades, which have been working wonderfully for me. I have been mixing up the chocolate brown matte shades with a fewer of the shimmer lighter shades to create subtle fall looks. This is a very affordable palette and even though it is a drugstore brand, I am very pleased with the results. The colors have great payoff and the eyeshadows are creamy and blendable.
Another product from e.l.f. has stolen my heart this fall. The Contouring powder and Blush duo palette in Fiji Matte has become a staple for me lately. Before I get into the actual product, can we appreciate the packaging? It's very similar to the NARS packaging in my opinion, and the mirror is huge! Definitely a travel necessity. Both the bronzer and blush are very creamy and blendable. I will say that a little goes a very long way. I just need a small tap with my brush and I am good. Perfect duo for the fall!
With such toned down eyes and cheeks, I think a bold lip looks great in the fall. I always love playing up a statement lip in the fall months to liven up my makeup. One particular lipstick that is an all time favorite is the NARS lipstick in Olivia. Just like all lipsticks from NARS, this one is also very creamy and moisturizing. They are all very long lasting and do stick on your lips after all the pumpkin spice lattes and gingerbread cookies. Olivia is more on the red tones of the dark lip, but always a classic.
To bring the autumn look together, I always like to switch up my nails. Plus, when I take my coffee snapchats, painted nails are just the cherry on the top! I have always been a fan of the Revlon nail polishes and Tuscan Sun in particular is the perfect orange red color. It is a great transition color from summer to fall and always puts me in the pumpkin spirit!
